Hart Mental Health Awareness Day - The Harlington Fleet April 14th 12 noon
Hart Rotary and Hart Voluntary Action have joined forces to initiate Hartbeat, with the support of Fleet Town Council and the Fleet Business Improvement District. Our goal: to make Hart a place where every young adult feels seen, supported, and never left waiting for the help they deserve.
With the recent merger of Hampshire Talking Therapies into the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, the system is in flux. Average wait times in Hampshire for young adult mental health treatment hover around 103 days. Diagnostic waiting lists for ADHD/ASC neurodevelopmental disorders can exceed a year. A different approach is needed, and the organisations that can provide this are already there - they just need to be brought together.
Whether you are a Young Adult aged 17-30 with mental health issues, or you are a worried parent or carer, knowing where you can find help and who to turn to is vital. This event is designed to get as many of those organisations as we can under one roof, so they can tell us who they are and what they can offer to this very vulnerable age group who are increasingly suffering with their mental health.
